The second of three starting flights at the Golden Gates MSPT $360 Regional Event saw 249 runners hit the felt, and after fifteen levels of play only 35 were able to find a bag for Day 2. Brian Gaddy leads the way with an impressive 369,500 in chips, while Jarred Simmer (336,000), Ron Burrow (290,500), Danny Gonzales (261,000) and Mike Vallon (252,500) round out the top five.
Others that found a bag include Ann Arbor, Michigan’s Cooper Wanty (215,500) and Brian Hou (137,500), Jason Vanstrom (182,000), former Golden Gates MSPT $360 Regional champs “Money” Mike Maruna (113,500) and Bobby Sanoubane (92,000), and Tom Bouziden (61,000). Some of those unfortunate enough to not find a bag include Tim West, Nader Wahdan, Chris Tryba, and Michael St. John.
The final starting flight starts tomorrow at Noon, and the surviving players from all three flights will combine on Sunday at 11 a.m. to play down to a champion.
