Lendvai Tops The Counts Into Day 2 Of The $1,100 Main Event

After two days of registration, The MSPT $1,100 Main Event at Venetian has secured its final field of 30 players for the second day of play. A total of 274 entrants bested the $200,000 prizepool guarantee and will see a total of $55,261 awarded to the first place finisher.

Leading the way is Hungary’s Tamas Lendvai, who ended his day with 924,000. The Las Vegas tournament regular has amassed over $2,611,679 in live earnings, with his biggest score being a third place finish in an EPT in 2011 for $816,326. More recently he won his first WSOP bracelet in 2022 for $299,464 and with this bag here today, he looks to add another trophy to his decorated resume.

Others who bagged included were MSPT newcomer Tjam Tepeh (872,000), the always entertaining Hayley “VegasHalys” Hanna (149,000), Ivan Ruban (149,000), Ryan Laplante (83,000), Nicholas Pupillo (66,000), and five-time MSPT champion Blake Bohn (26,000). Each one of them looking for a fine trophy from The Venetian Casino.

Former MSPT champions Kyna England and Rodger Johnson were unable to find bags today and the current MSPT Player of The Year frontrunner Umut Ozturk, also found himself out the door earlier than he wanted. Others who didn’t find bags included John Morgan, Dylan Linde, and Camille Brown. They will have to play tomorrow’s separate tournament if they want to become an MSPT Venetian champion before the year’s end.

Play ended at the very beginning of Level 16, with blinds at 3,000/6,000 with a 6,000 ante. Blinds will go up every 40 minutes with players having a break every three levels.
