For the third year in a row, the MSPT and the Venetian in Las Vegas are joining forces to offer a great tournament over the NFL’s Super Bowl Weekend.
The $1,100 buy-in Poker Bowl III will feature a $650,000 guarantee and offer two starting flights. Day 1A will take place at Noon local time on Thursday, January 31, while Day 1B will take place at the same time on Friday, February 1. The surviving players from both flights will then return for Day 2 at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2 and play down to a winner.
That ensures players will be free on Sunday so they can enjoy the Super Bowl LIII, which is being held on February 3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

The entirety of the tournament, which will feature 40-minute levels and start players with 20,000 in chips, will be live reported on msptpoker.com.
In 2017, the inaugural MSPT Poker Bowl I attracted 695 entries and saw poker pro Jordan Young take home $117,381 after a heads-up deal with Ankush Mandavia, who earned $107,381. First place was scheduled to pay $139,624. Last year’s event, which attracted 827 runners, ended in a four-way deal with Kfir Nahum ultimately taking the title and $108,410 in prize money. Matthias De Cercq took second in that tournament for the same amount of cash. First place in Poker Bowl II was scheduled to pay $157,233.
“For the sixth year in a row, the MSPT will return to the Venetian Las Vegas,” said MSPT President Bryan Mileski. “Each year only seems to get bigger and better, and we’re expecting that to continue in Season 10 beginning with the Poker Bowl III. Unless you’re at the game itself, there’s no better place to take in the Super Bowl than in Las Vegas.”
The MSPT Poker Bowl III is a part of The Venetian’s 2019 Deepstack Extravaganza I, which runs from January 28 through February 25 and will offer more than $3 million in guaranteed tournament prize pools.
