Not long ago defending champ Carl Carodenuto was the chip leader with 210,000. He now has 38,000.

Carodenuto’s most recent hit came after a player opened with a raise and WSOP bracelet winner John Reading three-bet all in for 30,700. Carodenuto moved all in over the top from the small blind, which inspired both the big blind and original raiser to fold.

Reading: da 6d

Reading had a kicker problem, but it got resolved on the 6c 9s jd flop. The 5s turn was of no consequence, while the 6s improved Reading to trips to give him a welcomed double.

John Reading - 68,000

Carl Carodenuto - 38,000
