The MSPT returns to The Venetian in Las Vegas Nevada for the seventh edition of the Poker Bowl. The palpable excitement of the Super Bowl is spreading throughout the country and in this week leading up to the massive game, the MSPT is running not one, but two massive tournaments. The second event is the $1,600 which begins today at 11:10 AM and boasts a $500,000 guarantee on the prize pool.
This is the first iteration of the $1,600 MSPT venetian during the MSPT Poker Bowl. The last $1,600 at The Venetian saw Shea Quintin best Yulia Lisichkina in heads up play for his first MSPT title. It is unclear whether Quintin will come out to this stop in the hopes to win another title. Players that are expected to come out to play include Alex Foxen, Kristen Foxen, Ralph Massey, Amir Lehavot, and MSPT champions Gerald Cunniff, Jeff Platt, Landon Tice, Daniel Sepiol and form MSPT player of the year Kyna England.
All of those names and more are expected to come out for this massive event, and today is their first opportunity to do so. Players who register will sit down with 30,000 in starting chips with levels beginning at 100/100 and a 100 big blind ante. The blind levels will last 40 minutes, with a ten-minute break occurring after every three levels. Registration will remain open until the beginning of level 13. Players will play down until there is just 11% of the field remaining.
The players who bag up for this flight will return on Saturday February 11th to play to a winner. Those who do not bag up this flight, will have ample opportunity to play the next flight, as it is unlimited re-entry.
