All players who cash in MSPT tournaments are ranked for Player of the Year points. Season 17 will begin January 1, 2026 and end December 31, 2026.
The Player of the Year prize winner for Season 17 will receive a $10,000 Main Event entry, this event takes place in July of 2027.
2026 Player of the Year Leaderboard: MSPT - Current Season Points
MAJORS (Main Events) = 1.5X POY points
MSPT prelim cash events or SERIES events with a buy-in of < $1,000 that are deemed eligible for POY consideration by the MSPT will use a multiplier for POY points.
$200 buy-in = 1/6 POY
$250 buy-in = 1/5 POY
$300 buy-in = 1/4 POY
$400 buy-in = 1/3 POY
$500 - $999 = 1/2 POY
Should there be a tie in total points at the end of a season, the winner will be determined by largest cash during that year.
