All players who cash in a MSPT tournament are ranked for Player of the Year points. Season 16 will begin January 1, 2025 and end December 31, 2025. All side events will begin counting toward POY points beginning June 1, 2025.
The Player of the Year prize winner for Season 16 will receive a $10,000 Main Event entry, this event takes place in July of 2026. The Icon of the Year prize winner for Season 16 will receive a $10,000 Main Event entry, this event takes place in July of 2026. The Senior Player of the Year prize winner for Season 16 will receive $5,000.

2025 Senior (50+) Player of the Year Leaderboard: MSPT - Current Season Points
MSPT prelim cash events or SERIES events with a buy-in of < $1,000 that are deemed eligible for POY consideration by the MSPT will use a multiplier for POY points.
$200 buy-in = 1/6 POY
$250 buy-in = 1/5 POY
$300 buy-in = 1/4 POY
$400 buy-in = 1/3 POY (SENIOR POY POINTS WILL MAX OUT HERE - anything $400 and greater will be the same POY points)
Should there be a tie in total points at the end of a season, the winner will be determined by largest cash during that year.
