Season 17 of the MSPT is back in full swing this weekend as we have returned to the heart of Sin City at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas to host a pair of $1,000,000 GTD Main Events!

Kicking off the 10-day extravaganza will be our $1,100 Main Event, and with SIX starting flights over three days, today’s Day 1a starts bright and early at 10:10 a.m., followed by Day 1b at 6:10 p.m. local time.

Since 2019, there have been back-to-back MSPT Main Events held during the summer at the Venetian, and last year, France’s Samuel Bifarella hoisted the trophy after he navigated his way through a tough 1,171-player field en route to a $141,905 career payday and his first MSPT title.

Starting Day Outlook

Normally, just one starting flight would be on the docket, but today’s mid-season kickoff will see two flights get underway with Day 1a starting at 10:10 a.m., and Day 1b following at 6:10 p.m., the first of SIX starting flights in the Poker Room!

Each starting flight will see players sit down with 40,000 in chips, and blinds will start at 100/200/200.

Levels will then increase every 40 minutes on Day 1a, and every 30 minutes on Day 1b, with both flights giving players a 15-minute break after every two hours of play.

Late registration will remain open until the beginning of level 10 for all flights (approximately 4:55 p.m. local time for flight A and 11:10 p.m. for flight B), with unlimited re-entry available per flight for those who wish to use it.

All flights will play until 11% of the field (rounded up) is reached, and those unable to find a bag at the end of the night will have opportunities to re-enter tomorrow, Sunday July12^th, and Monday, July 13^th.

All surviving players from the six starting flights will reconvene on Tuesday, July 14^th, at 2:00 p.m. and play until a winner is determined.

A new addition to this season is that each Main Event winner will be awarded a $3,500 seat into the ROCK ‘N’ ROLL POKER OPEN MSPT Championship at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, FL, while the top 64 World Ranked MSPT Players as of December 2, 2026 will compete in a HEADS UP FREEROLL tournament at the 2026 MSPT Winter Poker Classic at Running Aces Poker Tournaments for $20,000!

With two starting flights per day, live reporting for Day 1a will begin after the second break (Level 7 ~ 2:40 p.m. local time), and coverage for 1b will follow after the first flight has completed.
