There were a total of 419 entries during Flight C at the MSPT Black Hawk Main Event on Saturday at the Bally’s Black Hawk Casino. By the end of play just 49 advanced to Day 2 on Sunday, January 29. The chip leader at the end of play was Tyler Karmel with a stack of 730,000, and he made a strong run near the end of play tonight to bag the lead.
Rounding out the top three chip stacks were Nader Wandham who bagged up 696,000, and Mamoon “Nemo” Rubayee with 567,000. Other notables that bagged up chips on the day were Tyler Jankanski (435,000), Mo Nuwwarah (198,000), Kevin Clyde (136,000), Steven Olsen (131,000), Yohannes Ambaye (113,000), and Phil Gioia (84,000).
Notables that busted out of play today included David Levi, Teresa Hemingway, Ruth Graham, Eric Smidinger, Jason Blount, Madeline Robinson, and Ben Keeline.
Flight C begins tomorrow at Noon, and the field will play down to 12% of the remaining players from the total entries, or the end of Level 15, whichever comes first. There are now 109 players from 900 total entries (the largest major Main Event in Colorado history), and the top 90 will cash tomorrow for at least $2,270. The eventual champion will take home the top prize worth $170,325.
