Day 1b attracted 215 runners during Saturday's action, bringing the grand total to 373 entries (158 from Day 1a; 215 from 1b), generating a $360,310 prize pool.
Another full day of action was played to completion with William Chao able to extend his chip lead to 654,000, leading the 26 advancing players from this flight and good enough for second overall.
Following behind Chao was Bill Romer who was able to end the night with 459,000 while Jay Chaudhary (421,000), Jacob Brouse (407,000), and Scott Sisler (394,000) round out the top five stacks.
Others to punch their tickets to Day 2 were MSPT champ Gerald Cunniff (377,000), Rob Urbatsch (285,000), Loki Abboud (256,000), Phil Mader (225,000), and MSPT Hall of Famer Rich Alsup (159,000).
