Day 1c was the final starting flight of the MSPT Season 17 Iowa Poker State Championship at Riverside Casino and attracted a final 291 runners, which, along with 1a's 69 and 1b’s 189, brought the total field up to 549 entries, shattering the $300k guarantee.

The impressive field generated a $531,030 prize pool, paying out a minimum of $2,026, while the eventual winner will walk away with a $111,942 first-place prize, along with the MSPT Season 17 Iowa Poker State Championship!

At the end of the third and final flight, just 33 players bagged and tagged, with Stan Webb (773,000) bagging 1,000 chip less than MSPT Hall of Famer Gerald Cunniff (774,000) for the overall Day 2 stack.

Coming in hot behind Webb was Chris Wickman (pictured), who was able to spin up a 741,000 stack, good enough for the third overall stack heading into Day 2.

MSPT champ Jake Wilding (651,000) is no stranger to making a Day 2 appearance here at Riverside, as the former champ is looking to make another deep run since winning his first title back in 2024, while March’s runner-up finisher Jason Crews (575,000) and MSPT Hall of Famer Rob WazWaz (548,000) rounded out the top five stacks.

Others who survived the third and final flight included Andy Rogowski (456,000), Tony Olguin (350,000), Ricky Landais (278,000), MSPT Champ Max Havlish (188,000), Season 12 Iowa Poker State Champ Craig Trost (103,000), and the MSPT’s top casher DJ Buckley(88,000).

Among those to try and fall on Day 1c included MSPT Hall of Famer DQ Dan Hendrickson, Tim Garles, John Mcnee, Gabe Neighbors, and MSPT champ David Gonia, just to name a few.

The surviving players from all three flights – of which there are 62 (8 from Day 1a, 21 from 1b, and 33 from 1c) – will return at 11:00 a.m. local time on Sunday, July 26^th, to play down to a winner.
