For the second stop of the 16th season, the MSPT traveled to Sycuan Casino & Resort in San Diego, CA to host the inaugural 100 GRAND STACK Festival!

In Event #3: $200 NLH Epic Stack, a 70-player field took to the felt and in the end, it was Minnesota native Clint Wolcyn who walked away with the epic victory to take down the lion's share of the prize pool along with the 100 GRAND STACK Festival trophy!

Chen Flushes Pace for a Double

There was heads-up action between Nan Chen from late position and MSPT champ Gianluca Pace from the big blind with a board showing.

Pace checked his option only to be faced with a 43,200 all-in bet from Chen. Pace thought briefly and then made the call.

Pace rolled over a dominating hand, but it was the wrong suit, as the river completed Chen’s flush and secured his double-up.

Aviram Parsha Collects Final Bounty

Over the past week, players have been inside Sycuan Casino & Resort duking it out for the inaugural MSPT 100 GRAND STACK Festival in San Diego, CA.

In Event #2: $200 NLH Ultimate Stack Green Chip Bounty, 107 hunters went to the felt and generated a $17,120 prize pool ($11,770 + $5,350 in bounties) that was paid out to the top 12 players.

Among those to cash but fall before the final table were David Caserta (10th Place - $247 + bounties), Eduardo Parra (11th Place - $247 + bounties), and Ermanno Florio (12th Place - $247 + bounties).

In the end, it was Aviram Parsha who came away with the ultimate win to take down the lion's share of the prize pool along with the 100 GRAND STACK Festival trophy!

Srinivas Dropped by Castillo

There was four-way action after a flop and a few knocks on the table led to Guillermo Castillo firing out a 15,000 bet from the hijack.

Action was then back on Suresh Srinivas who fired out a 30,000 check-raise from the small blind and only Castillo called to see the turn.

Srinivas checked his option once again to Castillo who made a 60,000 bet, and Srinivas tossed out his remaining stack.

Mo Pourmandi Wins Inaugural $400 100 GRAND STACK Regional!

For the second stop of the 16th season, the MSPT traveled to Sycuan Casino & Resort in San Diego, CA to host the inaugural 100 GRAND STACK Festival!

Kicking off the 21-trophy event series was the first-ever $400 NLH 100 GRAND STACK, which tallied an impressive 635 entrants through four starting flights.

A $209,320 prize pool was generated and dived out between the 68 Day 2 players who had their eyes set on the title.

Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were Keith Morgan (10th Place - $3,120), Rigoberto Rodriguez (20th Place - $2,568), Anthony Bland (17th Place - $2,140), Mary Anne Madruga (33rd Place - $1,841), and Clinton Wolcyn (24th Place - $1,541).

After a long day on the felt, it was Michigan native Mo Pourmandi who navigated his way to the finish line to capture a $37,000 first-place prize along with the first Regional Spadey trophy of Season 16!

Bekavac Cracks Kalfayan's Cowboys for Early KO

Three players took to a flop for 6,600 a pop and action was checked to George Kalfayan who fired out a 5,000 bet from the cutoff.

Action was on four-time MSPT champ Dan Bekavac tossed out a 16,500 check-raise from the big blind and action folded back to Kalfayan who called.

Once the hit the turn, Bekavac quickly made a 24,500 bet and Kalfayan called just as fast to see the complete the board on the river.

Another quick 60,000 was tossed out by Bekavac putting Kalfayan’s stack at risk and after some careful thought, he called.

Bekavac the proceeded to roll over for the flopped flush and it was good as Kalfayan tossed into the muck and found a new seat at a different table.
