Welcome back to another day’s coverage of the MSPT $1,100 Main Event 316 at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas!

Yesterday saw two flights play start to finish after gathering 221 total entries, with 22 players advancing to Tuesday’s Day 2, and today, another two starting flights are on the docket.

As for the happenings after those first two flights on the felt, Day 1a saw the emergence of Fausto Valdez, as he clipped the milly mark to hold the top spot thus far with 1,120,000.

Normally, just one starting flight would be on the schedule, but today’s mid-season kickoff will see two flights get underway with Day 1c starting at 10:10 a.m., and Day 1d following at 6:10 p.m. in the Poker Room!

Each starting flight will see players sit down with 40,000 in chips, and blinds will start at 100/200/200.

Levels will then increase every 40 minutes on Day 1c and every 30 minutes on Day 1d, with both flights giving players a 15-minute break after every two hours of play.

Late registration will remain open until the beginning of level 10 for all flights (approximately 4:55 p.m. local time for flight C and 11:10 p.m. for flight D), with unlimited re-entry available per flight for those who wish to use it.

All flights will play until 11% of the field (rounded up) is reached, and those unable to find a bag at the end of the night will have two more opportunities to re-enter tomorrow, Monday, July 13^th.

All surviving players from the six starting flights will reconvene on Tuesday, July 14^th, at 2:00 p.m. and play until a winner is determined.

A new addition to this season is that each Main Event winner will be awarded a $3,500 seat into the ROCK ‘N’ ROLL POKER OPEN MSPT Championship at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, FL, while the top 64 World Ranked MSPT Players as of December 2, 2026 will compete in a HEADS UP FREEROLL tournament at the 2026 MSPT Winter Poker Classic at Running Aces Poker Tournaments for $20,000!

Today’s doubleheader will follow yesterday’s format: live reporting for Day 1c will begin after the second break (Level 7 ~ 2:40 p.m. local time), and coverage for 1d will follow after the first flight has concluded.
