The final starting flight of the MSPT $1,100 Main Event 316 at the Venetian Resort has wrapped up after a grueling 20 levels of play, as the 427-player field was dropped to just the final 47 players.
A total of 1,495 entries were tallied after six starting flights, which blasted past the $1,000,000 guarantee and generated a $1,434,200 prize pool.
Tonight’s Day 1f ended with just 57 players bagging and tagging, with Christian Sare joining the milly club as she put 1,053,000 in her bag to end the night, good enough for the third overall stack heading into Day 2.
Mark Egbert
Sitting in second place was Mark Egbert, who ended the night with an impressive 868,000 stack, while Francisco Romero (839,000), Andreas Staschewski (801,000), and Juan Testoni (589,000) rounded out the top five stacks of the flight.
The surviving players from all six flights – of which there are 167 (13 from Day 1a, 9 from 1b, 17 from 1c, 13 from Day 1d, 68 from 1e, and 47 from 1f) – will return for Day 2 at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, July 14th, and will play until a winner is crowned.
