Day 1a of the MSPT Riverside $1,110 Main Event is officially in the books with total entries tallied by night's end.

Plenty of players made their way to Riverside Casino, filling the room with MSPT Champs and Hall of Famers.

With chips flying and players dropping like rapid fire throughout the day, 11% of the field was reached with 18:23 remaining in Level 15 (3,000/6,000/6,000).

Once the hard stop was reached, Jacob Tourville (459,000) secured the final elimination of the night, edging out two-time MSPT Champ Lee Rzentkowski (300,000) for the top stack after the first flight to lead the eight advancing players.

Tourville and Rzentkowski were the only two players to clip the 300k mark, while Carlton Taylor (268,000), Abbas Pasha (267,000), and Eric Vogler (261,000) rounded out the flight's top stacks.

Others who punched their ticket into Sunday’s Day 2 included two-time MSPT Champ Mike Estes (234,000), Jordan Davis (161,000), and MSPT Hall of Famer Josh Reichard (101,000).

Among those to try and fall on Day 1a were Trey Bartlett, Travis Barnes, John Hutton, Eric Staley, and Alex Dewey, just to name a few.

Those players, along with any newcomers, have two more starting flights to jump back into action.

Day 1b kicks off at 2:00 p.m. local time on Friday, November 6th, while Day 1c takes place at the same time on Saturday, November 7^th.

This is a best-stack forward event: If a player qualifies for Day 2 more than once, they may only play the higher chip stack; any lower stack(s) will be removed from play at the start of Day 2 and receive the lowest Day 2 payout.

Player of the Year points will only be awarded for the higher stack. Players will only receive credit for a single MSPT Main Event cash finish.

The surviving players from each flight will then return at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 8^th to play down to a winner.
