After a grueling heads-up battle, Josh Meyer has finally put away Steve Wazwaz.
Meyer went all-in pre-flop and was immediately called by Wazwaz. Meyer turned over and led the of Wazwaz. The flop came out keep Meyer out in front. The rolled out on the turn and Meyer put his hands on his head saying, “One card away from an MSPT title.”
His wish was fulfilled as the hit the river and the championship was his.
Meyer takes home the 2019 Iowa State Poker Championship along with the top prize of $85,241. Steve Wazwaz winds up as the runner-up scoring $52,696.
