As we near the end of Day 1C, it’s now about positioning for Sunday and Joe Maas is working his way up the leaderboard.

After he and Rich Alsup contributed 7,000 chips on a board, the hit the turn and Maas checked to Alsup. Alsup bet out 15,000 but Maas turned right around with a 35,000 chip raise. Alsup thought better of playing on and folded. Following the hand, their table broke but Maas will be taking his 217,000 chips with him as the field has already whittled down to 35 players remaining.
