Day 1c of the MSPT Season 16 Sycuan 100 GRAND STACK Series $1,110 Main Event is in the books after drawing 181 entries, the biggest field of all three starting flights, bringing the overall field up to 417.

At the end of the third and final flight, just 20 players bagged and tagged with John Ypma sitting atop the counts.

After making deep runs in the first two flights, Ypma was able to make this one count as he was able to spin-up a 2,525,000 stack, good enough for the overall chip lead.

The final level of the evening saw an onslaught of casualties which included David Uvaydov, Daria Ivantey and Keith Eoll.

Following behind Ypma was Paul Ewen who put 1,945,000 in his bag to end the night, good enough for third overall heading into Day 2 while Jonathan “Cosmo” McGowan (1,525,000), MSPT champ Savo Mandrapa (1,285,000), & Arturo Ortuno (1,265,000), rounded out the top five stacks of the flight.

They were joined by Michael Kaplitz (1,125,000), Kellan Kemp (1,120,000), Joshua Royal (910,000), Astivan Batoo (805,000), and Leslie Autenreith (715,000).

Among those to try and fall on Day 1c included MSPT champ Brian Landon, Eddie Pilotin, MSPT champ Muneer Ahmed, Reginald Burnley, and Derek Molnar, just to name a few.

The surviving players from all three flights – of which there are 47 (10 from Day 1a, 17 from 1b, and 20 from 1c) – will return at 11:00 a.m. local time on Sunday, May 4^th to play down to a winner.
