Day 1c of the MSPT Season 16 Ameristar East Chicago $1,110 Main Event is in the books after attracting 220 runners, bringing the total field up to 382 entries with one flight remaining.

Of those 220 entries today, just 25 players were able to find a Day 2 berth with last November’s fourth-place finisher Andrew Keeney and his 829,000 stack leading the charge, edging out Songjie Zhou (638,000) for the overall top stack through the first three starting flights.

MSPT Hall of Famer Rob WazWaz was able to catch some steam as well taking 488,000 into Day 2 while Pyzza Teston (451,000), and George Wedemeyer (413,000) rounded out the top five stacks of the flight.

They were joined by MSPT champ Matt Porter (384,000), Timothy Heng (352,000), Varkey James (344,000), MSPT champ Curtis Vierstraete (292,000), and Asa Snyder (98,000).

Among those not as lucky at the felt included MSPT champ Brian Landon, Sarah Stefan, Jill Bryant, Jerry Hapunik, and Leo Fussy.

Those players, as well as any newcomers, have one final opportunity to find a Day 2 berth as Day 1d for the Main Event will be getting underway at Noon tomorrow.

Everyone who makes Day 2 will return on Memorial Monday at 11:00 a.m. to play for the MSPT $1,110 Main Event Title at Ameristar Casino Hotel.
