Another full day of action occurred during Day 1b of the MSPT Season 17 $1,110 Ohio Poker State Championship at JACK Cleveland Casino, as the second of three flights drew in another 308 entries to bring the two-day total to 499, with one flight still to go.

Of the 308 entries that came out to play, just 34 players remained when pens went to slips with Joe Frei riding a late-night heater to bag 592,000, edging out Igor Ioffe (540,000) for the top stack of this flight.

Rounding out the top five stacks were Thomas Metz (420,000), Rob Mancini (416,000), and YuhYun Sung (413,000) rounded out the top five stacks.

Much like Day 1a, the final level of the night saw an onslaught of casualties, with players such as MSPT hall of Famer Chris Moon and Peter Weiss among those to be eliminated before play concluded for the night with chips flying all across the three remaining tables in the final level of play that led to a lot of players riding roller coasters with their stack sizes before becoming official for the evening.

Several other familiar players will also be joining the aforementioned five, as Frank Lagodich (402,000), Antonio Ndoja (387,000), MSPT Hall of Famer Umut Ozturk (358,000), and Haroldo Perez (307,000) are just a few more of the players to add their names to the Day 2 roster, along with the 22 to have already advanced from Day 1a.

Among those not as lucky at the felt included MSPT Champ Anthony Hancovsky, Nazim Temiz, Dionta James, 2023 Ohio Poker State Champion Anthony Cico, Ron Bell, and MSPT Champ Anthony Kastelic, with at least a few, if not all of them, likely to be seen back in action for the final flight.

The final starting flight for the Main Event is tomorrow at 12:15 p.m. EST and is the last chance for players to earn a Day 2 berth.

Everyone who makes Day 2 will return on Sunday at 11:15 a.m. to play for the MSPT Season 17 $1,110 Ohio Poker State Championship at JACK Cleveland Casino.
