Day 1c of the MSPT Season 17 Spade Poker Championship has come to an end at FireKeepers Hotel Casino, as the final starting flight brought in an astonishing 1,058 runners, which, along with 1a's 525 and 1b’s 859, brought the field total up to 2,442 entries, generating a whopping $2,367,240 prize pool.

At the end of the final flight, just 117 players bagged and tagged with Jaret Villarreal, bagging the top stack of 903,000, good enough for the second overall Day 2 stack.

Coming in behind Villarreal was Cero Zuccarello, who ended the night with a healthy 769,000, while Blake Barnes (699,000), 2026 Michigan Poker State Champ Sai Mudduluru (664,000), and Amy Koop (611,000) round out the top five stacks of the final flight.

Others to survive the final flight included two-time bracelet winner Scott Bohlman (568,000), two-time MSPT Champ Mike Estes (538,000), fellow Champ Hamid Izadi (508,000), POY points leader Mike Wilklow (485,000), and MSPT Hall of Famer Aaron Massey (320,000).

Among those who took their shot but fell short on Day 1c were two-time MSPT Champ Chris Meyers, Joe Shammas, Brittany Spain, WSOP bracelet winner Katie Kopp, and MSPT Hall of Famer Josh Reichard, just to name a few.

Day 2 will get underway at 10:00 a.m. local time and play to a winner, with 266 players (54 from Day 1a, 95 from 1b, and 117 from 1c) returning to the felt.

Each of the returning Day 2 players is guaranteed at least $2,553, with the eventual winner walking away with a $342,390 first-place prize.
