Created 11/3/2018 1:52:44 AM CST by Admin System

Day 1A of the MSPT Meskwaki Main Event drew 194 runners but after 15 levels of play just 28 remained with Zac Campbell as a massive chip leader. The 791,500 he bagged was unprecedented and made it the largest opening flight stack in the history of the MSPT by roughly 200K!

Others to bag and tag were Pierce Acuff (310,500), Taylor Howard (308,000), Greg Jennings (261,000), and recent WSOPC ring winner Mo Nuwwarah (207,500), who round out the top five stacks.

Others to advance were MSPT Season 4 Ho-Chunk champ Josh Reichard (187,000), MSPT Season 2 Running Aces champ Jason Seitz (130,500), Scotter Clark (99,500), Dustin Dirksen (72,000), Sherry Hammers (70,500), and Dave Rutledge (19,000).

Of course, not everyone was fortunate enough to survive. Among those to fall on Day 1A were 2018 MSPT Iowa State Poker Champ Brian Soja, former RIU Reno champ Blake Cavanagh, Dan “DQ” Hendrickson, MSPT Hall of Famer Kou Vang, WSOP bracelet winner John Reading, and former MSPT Meskwaki champs Blake Bohn, John Sun, Ken Komberec.

Day 1B will kick off at 3 p.m. local time on Saturday. Before it, there will be one final $250 Satellite (20% advance) starting at 10 a.m.

Order Players Bar “MSPT Burger” for Chance to Win Your Way Into 2018 MSPT Wisconsin State Poker Championship
Created 11/3/2018 12:33:07 AM CST by Admin System

From November 10-18, the MSPT will be in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the penultimate stop of Season 9. It’s there that the 2018 MSPT Wisconsin State Poker Championship will play out.

Click here for a look at the schedule.

For the second year in a row, the MSPT is joining forces with legendary Madison sports bar Players Bar, owned by Mark “P0ker H0” Kroon, to offer an MSPT Burger in the week and a half leading up to the tournament (November 5-14).

Anyone who buys an MSPT Burger at Player’s Bar will automatically be entered into a drawing for a $250 satellite seat. A winner will be drawn on Wednesday, November 14. That means you could potentially win your way into the $1,100 Main Event for the cost of a burger.

Players Bar, named one of Madison’s best dive bars, is known for their popular “Burger of the Week,” and the MSPT Burger will grace the menu, albeit this time with a different recipe.

M = Mozzarella
S = Sticks (as in Mozzarella sticks on the burger)
P = Pepperoni
T = Tomato sauce (AKA Marinara)

Of course, it’ll be served with fries on the side!

Mark “Poker H0” Kroon

“We are excited to once again partner with Players Bar to offer players an MSPT Burger,” said MSPT President Bryan Mileski. “Mark Kroon and his bar have been a staple in the Badger State poker for decades, so it’s the perfect place to offer players the chance to win their way into the 2018 MSPT Wisconsin State Poker Championship.”

“We offer one of the best burgers in town, and the MSPT Burger is no exception,” Kroon added. “Not only will you be entered into a drawing just for buying a burger, Players Bar will donate $1 to charity for every MSPT Burger sold.”

So, there you have it. By buying an MSPT Burger, you’ll not only get a good meal and be entered into a drawing for a $250 satellite seat, you’ll be supporting charity while visiting a Wisconsin poker landmark.

Players Bar is located at 2013 Winnebago Street, Madison, Wisconsin and open daily from 11AM-2AM.

The MSPT’s Chad Holloway & Brandon Temple recently stopped for a burger at Players.

Zac Campbell Opening Unprecedented Chip Lead
Created 11/3/2018 12:31:38 AM CST by Admin System
Zac Campbell

It’s rare for a player to bag over 400K on Day 1A of an MSPT Main Event. Over 500K is even rare and good for the chip lead. Not today as Zac Campbell is up to an unprecedented 775K on Day 1A.

In a recent hand, Campbell opened for 7,000 from middle position and Thomas Dean called from the button. Chris Conrad then three-bet all in for 61,900 from the small blind, Campbell called, and Dean got out of the way.

Conrad:
Campbell:

Campbell held the better ace and scored the K.O. after the board ran out .

Zac Campbell - 775,000 (387.5 bb)
Chris Conrad - Busted
