Day 1A of the 2018 MSPT Indiana State Poker Championship at Tropicana Evansville, which is situated on the banks of the Ohio River on the board of Kentucky, saw 145 entrants take to the felt. By the end of the night, just 18 remained with Kentucky’s Brian Powell (pictured) and his stack of 329,000 leading the way.

Others to bag big were Alex Winter (291,500), John Cameron (281,000), Dharmesh Patel (252,500), and Tim Burden (249,500), who round out the top five.

Joining them are regining Kimo Sabe Mezcal MSPT Season 8 Player of the Year Chris Meyers (185,000), 2016 MSPT Indiana State Poker Champ Earl Potter (167,000), MSPT Season 5 Majestic Star champ Ken Baime (110,500), and Cameron Kieffer (24,000).

Among those to fall on Friday were 2015 MSPT Indiana State Poker Champion Mike O’Niell, Missouri’s Ryan Tepen, Wisconsin’s Steven Pike, “Wild” Bill Romer, Henry Tran, and former MSPT champs Ahmed Taleb, Mark Brazis, and Adam Thomas.
