Day 1b of the MSPT Season 17 $1,110 Wisconsin Poker State Championship has come to an end at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino after seeing an impressive 551 entries recorded, taking the two-day total thus far to 844, solidifying that the $1,000,000 GTD will be broken with one flight still to go.

Another full day of action took course, knocking down the 551 entries to just 61 players as the hard stop was reached in Level 16 with 31:47 remaining at 4,000/8,000/8,000 whenptwo-time MSPT Champ Lee Rzentkowski put on a display to end the night with a whopping 947,000 to edge out Todd Adler (820,000), and two-time WPT Champ Tony Tran (775,000) for the overall top stack thus far.

Rounding out the top five stacks were Pete Fox (640,000) and Joan Sandoval (510,000), while MSPT Hall of Famer & WSOP bracelet winner Josh Reichard (499,000), two-time MSPT Champ Mark Sandness (435,000), Brittany Spain (435,000), and MSPT Champ Antonio Vargas (267,000) are just a few more of the players to add their names to the Day 2 roster along with the 33 to have already advanced from Day 1a.

They were joined by MSPT Champ Steve Wilkie (260,000), MSPT Hall of Famer Richard Alsup (141,000), the MSPT’s top casher DJ Buckley (136,000), Season 16 Poker Bowl Champ Anthony Scarborough (118,000) and two-time MSPT Champ Mike Estes (104,000), while Nate Rivera, Missy Bartelme, Steve Buell, and April’s MSPT Champ Hamid Izadi all fell short on the 1b flight.

The final starting flight will begin tomorrow at noon local time, providing players with their last chance to secure a spot in Sunday's Day 2.

Late registration and re-entries will remain open through Level 12 (approximately 9:10 p.m.).

This is a best-stack forward event: If a player qualifies for Day 2 more than once, they may only play the higher chip stack; any lower stack(s) will be removed from play at the start of Day 2 and receive the lowest Day 2 payout.

Player of the Year points will only be awarded for the higher stack. Players will only receive credit for a single MSPT Main Event cash finish.
