The second and final starting flight of the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Grand Falls $1,110 buy-in, $200K GTD is in the books.
Day 1b attracted 251 runners during Saturday's action, bringing the grand total to 463 entries (212 from Day 1a; 251 from 1b), generating a $447,610 prize pool.
Almost a full day of action was played to completion with the hard stop being reached with 17:59 remining in the final level of play after Keith Doering eliminated Josh Thomas in the final hand of the evening to extend his chip lead to 682,000, leading the 30 advancing players.
Following behind Doering was none other than MSPT Hall of Famer Rich Alsup who was able to end the night with 502,000. Rounding out the top five stacks were Mike Estes (441,000), MSPT champ Moon Ahmed (414,000), and Eric Hanson (389,000).
Others to punch their tickets to Day 2 were MSPT champs Umut Ozturk (365,000), Ben Wiora (298,000), Rodger Johnson (266,000), John Dennehy (226,000), and MSPT Hall of Famer Aaron Johnson (159,000).
