Day 1c of the MSPT Season 15 Michigan Poker State Championship attracted a massive 1,207 runners, which along with 1a's 600 and 1b’s 1,012, brought the total field up to 2,819 entries, putting it just behind the record 2,883 field set last year here at FireKeepers Casino!
At the end of the third and final flight, only 132 players bagged with another player clipping the milly mark and that was none other than MSPT Hall of Famer Josh Reichard who put 1,063,000 on his slip to end the night, edging out four-time champ Dan Bekavac (1,019,000) for the overall chip lead heading into Day 2.
Others to bag big stacks this flight where Chuck Kersey (827,000), David Kim (728,000), Tim Mulroy (707,000), and MPST Hall of Famer Rob WazWaz (664,000).
They were joined by two-time MSPT champ John Sun (654,000), Brett "Pops" Reichard (554,000), MSPT champ's Angela Jordison (448,000), Craig Trost (439,000), and Max Havlish (404,000).
Among those to see their night end on Day 1c were MSPT Hall of Famer's Mark Hodge & Aaron Massey, along with former MSPT champs Gerald Cunniff, Bobby Noel, Jonathan Kim, and Chris Meyers,
The surviving players from all three flights – of which there are 309 (66 from Day 1a, 111 from 1b, and 132 from 1c) – will return at 10:00 a.m. local time on Sunday, October 13th and to play down to a winner.
