Day 1c inaugural MSPT $1,100 Main Event at Parkwest Bicycle Casino is in the books after recording 238 entries, which along with 1a's 98 and 1b’s 158 brought the total field up to 494 total entries, with one flight left to go.

At the end of the third starting flight, just 30 players bagged and tagged with Khaldoun Azzam finding himself atop the chip counts with 490,000 after a late-night heater.

Mini Mega Millions champ Marc Fiorentino found himself just behind Azzam in the chip counts bagging 474,000 while WSOP bracelet winner Anthony Marquez (426,000), Michael Danley (425,000), and Vic Kruglov (401,000), rounded out the top five stacks of the flight.

They were joined by Samvel Gspoyan (380,000), Duey Duong (319,000), Adam Swan (185,000), David Gutfreund (82,000), and MSPT champ Justin Lynch (75,000).

The surviving players from each flight will then return at Noon on Sunday, November 10th to play down to a winner.

WSOP bracelet winner Anthony Marquez opened under the gun for 15,000 only to call a 97,000 three-bet jam from the player seated directly to his left.

“Keep it low dealer”, Marquez politely asked just before the dropped a flop.

“Okay”, Marquez said just before the was turned putting his opponent in the lead with top pair.

Marquez added on last “Club”, and it was received as the fell giving him the flush to eliminate his opponent on the bubble.

Azzam Gets There on the River

Anthony Denove opened for 12,000 from the hijack and was called by Khaldoun Azzam from the cutoff, along with Gutfreund from the big blind.

The flop fell and action was checked to Denove who tossed out a 28,000 continuation bet only to have Azzam raise all in.

Gutfreund quickly got out of the way while Denove called off his shorter stack.

Denove was ahead after flopping top pair and the turn kept him in the lead.

Unfortunately for Denove, the that fell on the river wasn’t the two-pair he wanted to find as it gave Azzam the nut flush, ending his tournament just before the bubble.

Join Us for the Inaugural Winter Poker Classic at the Hollywood Casino in Columbus Ohio!

For the first time ever, the MSPT is headed to Columbus, Ohio to host the Winter Poker Classic at The Hollywood Casino from December 5th - 15th for the Season 15 finale!

Our $400 Monster Stack NLH $100k GTD will be kicking off the 20-event series and will offer three starting flights beginning at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, December 5th.

The following two flights will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, December 6th, and Saturday, December 7th, with Day 2 starting at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, December 8th.

The series will run into its headlined $1,110 Main Event (500K GTD) which offers three starting flights.

Day 1a will get started at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, December 12th, with Day 1b & Day 1c being held on Friday, December 8th, and Saturday, December 9th, with a 12:15 p.m. start time.

The combined fields from all three flights will then return to action on Sunday, December 15th at 11:15 a.m. to compete for the MSPT Season 15 Winter Poker Classic title.

Chou Out Kicks Vahabi to the Curb

Action on the table folded to Paul Chou who raised the button and Mehrdad Vahabi called from the small blind.

The two went heads-up to a flop and Vahabi check-called a 25,000 continuation bet from Chou bringing about the turn.

Vahabi wasted little time getting his 70,000 stack in the middle and Chou snap-called.

Shan Jing open-jammed 33,000 from middle position and the player directly to his left moved their 11,000 stack in the middle before Vic Kruglov called from the small blind having them both well covered.
