Jared Griener Claims Top Spot After Day 1A of Inaugural MSPT $1,100 Main Event at Parkwest Bicycle Casino
Created (11/7/2024 10:10:36 PM by Anthony Thompson)

Day 1a of the inaugural MSPT $1,100 Main Event at Parkwest Bicycle Casino is officially in the books with 98 total entries tallied during the first flight.

With action needing to play down to 12.5% of the field, almost full 15 levels were needed to hit that mark with the hard stop being reached with 5:52 remaining in the level.

When chips finally went into bags, it was California native Jared Griener who found himself atop the chip counts after putting a respectable 552,000 on his slip to end the night, leading the 12 advancing players.

Bagging a close second was John Padilla, who sat atop of the chip counts for majority of the day and ended the night with 516,000.

Narek Avetisyan saw his chip stack balloon up to 376,000 after he secured a late-night double and then followed with the final elimination to burst the bubble.

Rounding out the top five stacks were Louis Concha (260,000) & Jae Song (234,00), while Nicholas Wang (215,000), Phuoc Nguyen (145,000), and Sohale Khalili (143,000) all punched their ticket into Sunday’s Day 2 as well.

Andrew Ostapchenko

Among those to try and fall on Day 1a included six-time bracelet winner Brian Hastings, Andrew Ostapchenko, MSPT champ Derrick Yamada, Scott Stewart, and WSOP bracelet winner Cord Garcia, just to name a few.

Cord Garcia
