Jennifer Mandel Bags Top Stack as 19 Players Survive Day 1B
Created (11/22/2024 11:21:23 PM by Anthony Thompson)

Another full day of action occurred during Day 1b the MSPT Season 15 Ameristar East Chicago $1,110 Main Event with the hard stop being reached in Level 15 with 32:32 remaining on the clock.

The second of three flights drew 179 entries to bring the two-day total thus far to 273, solidifying that the $300K GTD will be surpassed in tomorrow’s final flight.

Of those 179 entries today, just 19 players remained when chips went into bags and Jennifer Mandel found herself atop the counts with 588,000, edging out Shiva Dudani (543,00), and Ben Krauss (495,000) for the overall top stack through the first two starting flights.

Much like Day 1a, the final level of the night saw an onslaught of casualties, with players such as MSPT champs Daniel Goepel and Chris Moon among those to be eliminated before play concluded for the night with chips flying all across the four remaining tables in the final levels of play that led to a lot of players riding roller coasters with their stack sizes before becoming official for the evening.

Jim Casement (391,000), and Josh Korhorn (387,000) rounded out the top five stacks while Lorenzo Bassette (360,000), Thai Dinh (312,000), Lindsey Reyna (299,000) and ”Wild” Bill Romer (285,000), are just a few more of the players to add their names to the Day 2 roster along with the 10 to have already advanced from Day 1a.

Bryan Skreens

Among those not as lucky at the felt included Bryan Skreens, Mike Iacovone, Mike Puccio, Nicola DiTrapani, and Andy Rogowski, with at least a few if not all of them likely to be seen back in action for the final flight.

Andy Rogowski

The final starting flight for the Main Event is tomorrow starting at Noon.

Everyone who makes Day 2 will return on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. to play for the MSPT $1,110 Main Event Title at Ameristar Casino Hotel.

Congratulations to everyone who advanced to Day 2.

We will be back tomorrow for coverage of Day 1c on MSPTPoker.com from East Chicago!
