Day 1a of the inaugural MSPT Season 15 Winter Poker Classic $1,110 Main Event at Hollywood Casino Columbus is officially in the books with 115 total entries tallied during the first flight.

With action needing to play down to 11% of the field, almost a full 16 levels were needed to hit that mark with the hard stop being reached with 13:58 remaining at 4,000/8,000/8,000.

When chips finally went into bags, it was Fangjie Fu who found himself atop the chip counts after securing the final elimination of David Montgomery-Zott, putting a respectable 711,000 on his slip to end the night, leading the 12 advancing players.

Bagging a close second was Jason Raber, who sat atop the chip counts for the majority of the day and ended the night with 583,000.

Ian Gillespie sat behind Raber for most of the day and was able to put 468,000 in his bag to end the night while Gregory Blucher (335,000) & Lisa Harbaugh (297,000) rounded out the top five stacks of the flight.

They were joined by two-time MSPT champ Bobby Noel (175,000), Grigor Hakobyan (171,000), and Ashish Keshri (160,000), as they all punched their ticket into Sunday’s Day 2 as well.

Among those to try and fall on Day 1a included Caleb King, Richard Viebranz, Louis Moore Bob Nolen, Lorenzo Bassette, and Michael Stephenson, just to name a few.

Those players, as well as any newcomers, have two more starting flights to jump back into action.

Day 1b will kick off at 12:15 p.m. local time on Friday, December 13th, while the third and final flight, Day 1c, will take place at the same time on Saturday, December 14th.

The surviving players from each flight will then return at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday to play down to a winner.

Ashish Keshri raised all in for 70,000 from late position and Lisa Harbaugh looked him up from the hijack.

Keshri was ahead holding a pair of ladies but had a sweat after the flop fell giving Harbaugh the ace-high flush draw.

Over the past week, players have been inside Hollywood Casino duking it out for the MSPT Winter Poker Classic in Columbus, Ohio.

In Event #12: $200 No-Limit Hold'em Ultimate Stack, 70 runners took to the tables, and when the dust settled, it was Mariano Pineda who came away with the epic win to take down the lion's share of the prize pool along with the Winter Poker Classic trophy!

For the first time ever, the MSPT has made its way to Columbus, Ohio for the Season 15 finale, and players have been inside the Hollywood Casino duking it out over the past week for the Winter Poker Classic!

In Event #11: $300 No-Limit Hold'em Tag Team, 198 players took to the field and generated a $31,680 prize pool that was paid out to the top 15 teams.

Among those to cash but fall before the final table were Jacob & Jesse Dodd (10th Place - $6), Steven Reti & Shawn Miller (11th Place - $6), Richard Rossetti & Richard Smetzer (12th Place - $6).

Coming out the top team was Michael Salem & Julia Hayostek who took home the top prize along with the Winter Poker Classic trophies!

There was three-way all-in action preflop between Jason Ainsworth from under the gun, a player from middle position and Fangjie Fu from the big blind with Fu having both players well covered.
