Day 1c of the MSPT Season 14 Riverside $1,110 Main Event attracted 349 runners, which along with 1a's 84 and 1b’s 221 brought the total field up to 654 entries, shattering the $300k guarantee.
The field generated a $632,880 prize pool, and the top 72 players will get paid a minimum of $2,089, while the eventual winner will walk away with a $129,740 first-place prize, along with the Main Event trophy.
At the end of the third and final flight, just 41 players bagged and tagged with Brett “Pops” Reichard bagging the flights chip lead with 639,000.
“Pops” went on a late-night heater to jump David Adler (539,000), MSPT champ Nick Barksdale (537,000), and Bruce Simmons (537,000) for the top spot with Thomas Hammers (477,000) rounding out the top five.
They were joined by Darin Utley (430,000), MSPT champ Justin Young (362,000), Thai Dinh (336,000), Asa Snyder (323,00), and Jason Crews (289,000).
All surviving players from the starting flights – of which there are 77 (10 from Day 1a, 26 from 1b, and 41 from 1c) – will return at 11:00 a.m. local time on Sunday, November 5th to play down to a winner.
