Another full day of action occurred during Day 1b the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) JACK Cleveland $1,110 Main Event with 15 full levels coming to completion.
The second of three flights drew 380 total entries setting yet another venue record for most entries logged during a Day 1b flight and brought the two-day total thus far to 617, blasting past the $500K GTD with one flight remaining.
Of those 380 entries, just 48 players remained when pens went to slips and Ashish Keshri found himself atop the counts with 558,000, good enough for the third overall stack through the two starting flights.
Following hot on Keshri’s tail were Brian Patterson (541,000), and Joseph Curcio (538,000), as they were the only other players to bag north of 500K while Dominic Choma (476,000), and Danny Doolan (457,000) rounded out the top five stacks.
Much like Day 1a, the final level of the night saw an onslaught of casualties, with players such as WSOP bracelet winner Katie Kopp and MSPT champ Lee Rzentkowski among those to be eliminated before play concluded for the night with chips flying all across the six remaining tables in the final level of play that led to a lot of players riding roller coasters with their stack sizes before becoming official for the evening.
Several other familiar players will also be joining the aforementioned five. MSPT champ’s Alex Cruz (396,000) & Satish Thakur (348,000), Mike Suggs (321,000), WSOP bracelet winner Keven Stammen (296,000), & MSPT Hall of Famer Rich Alsup (260,000), are just a few more of the players to add their names to the Day 2 roster along with the 25 to have already advanced from Day 1a.
Among those not as lucky at the felt included Ray Ezzie, DJ Buckley, and Thomas Carlin, along with MSPT champ's Richard Bai, Bobby Noel, and Curtis Vierstraete, with at least a few if not all of them likely to be seen back in action for the final flight.
The final starting flight for the Main Event is tomorrow starting at 12:15 p.m. EST.
Everyone who makes Day 2 will return on Sunday at 11:15 a.m. to play for the Season 15 MSPT $1,110 Main Event Title at JACK Cleveland Casino.
