Nissar Quraishi Bags 1B Top Stack as 13 Players Advance
Created (5/4/2024 1:07:25 AM by Anthony Thompson)

Almost full day of action was played to its conclusion at the MSPT Season 15 Sycuan Showdown Series $1,110 Main Event as the hard stop of 13 players was reached with 13:25 remaining in Level 14.

The second of three flights drew 112 entries to bring the two-day total thus far to 177.

Of those 112 entries, only 13 players remained when chips went into bags with Nissar Quraishi breaching the half-milly mark putting 539,000 on his slip to end the night.

Quraishi hit his stride in the later levels, much like Tim Acker (409,000) and Lance Winsaft (365,000), who finished second and third respectively.

Rounding out the top five stacks of the day were Leo Vaisburg (329,000), & Alex Greenblatt (291,000), while Dustin Skarra (268,000), Brian Nordin (232,000), and Alan Jimenez (209,000) are just a few more of the players to add their names to the Day 2 roster along with the eight players who have already advanced from Day 1a.

The final starting flight will get underway tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. local time, and it will be the last chance for players to punch their ticket into Sunday's Day 2.

Late registration and re-entries will remain open through Level 12 (approximately 11:40 p.m.) Make sure to tune in to see who makes it through to Day 2.
