The third starting day of the MSPT $1,100 Main Event begins today at 12:00 PM at Ameristar Casino in East Chicago, Indiana. 533 Entrants total have surpassed the guarantee of $500,000, with already 55 players having secured a piece already
Leading the field is Silvan Barbura who secured his first ever MSPT cash with a massive stack of 627,000. Chris Meyers (571,000) ended the day in second in chips, making the player of the year implications quite interesting as he currently sits in first on the leaderboard and will be looking to extend his lead with another deep run this season. Brett “Pops” Reichard (551,000) will be joining his son on Monday with the bigger stack in the hopes to conquer his first MSPT title. They will be the second father-son duo in the field so far in Day 2.
With this being the final flight of play, all of the faces we have seen throughout the week will be coming back to try once more. Howard Hankins, Kyna England, Lee Rzentkowski, Brad Sailor, DJ Buckley, Chris Audrain, Umut Ozturk, Ralph Massey, Aaron Massey, and Aaron Johnson will all be looking to become the next East Chicago MSPT champion.
Players will sit down with 30,000 and blinds beginning at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Each level will be 40 minutes long with a 15-minute break at the conclusion of every three levels. After nine levels, the players will go on a 40-minute dinner break and when they return they will play three more levels before registration closes. The surviving players will play until just 11% field remains. They will bag up and return to play to a winner on Monday, September 2nd.
