Jeremy Becker Leads the 11 Survivors After Day 1A
Created (9/9/2023 1:12:32 AM by Anthony Thompson)

While Michael Rocco was busy securing his first MSPT title in the $1,100, the second Main Event of the DeepStack Extravaganza got underway with 91 runners taking their shot in the $1,600.

Almost a full 16 levels were needed to reach 11% of the field with Jeremy Becker leading the 11 advancing players by a wide margin with 622,000.

The top five is rounded out by Sam Sternfield (433,000), Tzu Sheng Huang (358,000), and Angela Jordison (301,000), with MSPT champ Rodger Johnson (217,000) also finding a Day 2 berth.

Of course, not everyone was fortunate enough to make it through the night. Among those to fire and fall in Fridays’ starting flight were Asher Conniff, WSOP bracelet winner Dylan Linde, three-time WSOP bracelet winner Jim Collopy, MSPT Champ Derrick Yamada, and MSPT Hall of Famer Rob WazWaz were just a few who took their shot at a bag on Day 1a only to come up short.

All who have yet to advance will have one more starting flight with Day 1b will get underway at 11:10 a.m. on Saturday. Late registration and re-entries will remain open through Level 9 (approximately 5:55 p.m.).

Full coverage of this event will begin tomorrow so make sure to tune in!
