Day 1c of the MSPT (Mid-States Poker Tour) Season 15 Showdown Series Bally's Black Hawk $1,110 Main Event drew 255 entries, the biggest field of all three starting flights, bringing the overall field up to 606.
The combined fields generated a $586,320 prize pool, paying a minimum of $2,160, while the eventual winner will walk away with a $123,059 first-place prize.
At the end of the third and final flight, 28 players bagged and tagged with Matthew Rice bagging the overall chip lead with a whopping 1,066,000.
Rice caught seam at the end of the night leaping Sherman Wu (845,000) & Tanner Stiverson (812,000), who were the only other players to bag north of 800k.
They were joined by Scott Hovarth (497,000), Jason Moyer (425,000), and Ken Rabideau (,413000).
The surviving players from all three flights – of which there are 65 (13 from Day 1a, 24 from 1b, and 28 from 1c) – will return at 11:00 a.m. local time on Sunday, July 28th to play down to a winner.
The MSPT live reporting crew will be on the floor throughout the remainder of the tournament to provide updates, so keep it here to catch the action!
