Bruce Simmons moved his 33,500 stack into the middle from under the gun, only to have five-time MSPT champ Blake Bohn go over the top for 53,000, and Prabhakar Karri call from the big blind to put them both at risk.

Simmons rolled over the best made hand, until a flop fell, giving Bohn a set of sevens, while Karri picked up a gutshot straight draw.

The turn wasn’t much of a sewat for Bohn, and just before the dealer could complete the board, Karri yelled, “FIVE,” just before the fell on the river to complete his staright, securing him the double elimination.

There was three-way all-in action preflop between the player under the gun, five-time MSPT champ Blake Bohn from middle position, and Bruce Simmons from the hijack, with Simmons holding 8,500 effective.

Over the past week, players have been inside Running Aces Casino, duking it out for the MSPT Winter Poker Classic in Columbus, Minnesota, for the Season 16 finale!

In Event #2: $250 Monster Stack NLH, 182 monster hunters took to the felt and generated a $36,400 prize pool that was paid out to the top 21 players.

Among those to cash but fall before the final table were Alan Baker (11^th Place - $692), Rory Linton (12^th Place - $692), Brad Pausch (14^th Place - $546), Clinton Leitheiser (17^th Place - $473), and Matt Fox (20^th Place - $437).

In the end, it was none other than Jake Long who came away with the monster win, earning himself 240 POY points to go along with the $9,463 top prize and his record seventh Gold Card!

Five-time MSPT champ Blake Bohn raised from middle position, only to have Leo Ledesma fire out a 5,500 three-bet from the cutoff.

Action was then on fellow MSPT Hall of Famer Rob WazWaz, who called from the button before Jeremy Pekarek tossed out a 15,500 four-bet from the big blind.

Only WazWaz called, and the two went heads-up to a flop.

Pekarek then moved out his 29,800 stack, and WazWaz called after saying, “This is probably a stupid call.”

WazWaz was ahead holding a pair of nines, and the turn kept him in the lead.

However, the was quickly peeled off on the river, pairing Pekarek’s ace to secure his double-up.
