There were a total of 184 entries during Flight A at the MSPT Black Hawk Main Event on Thursday at the Bally’s Black Hawk Casino. By the end of play just 22 advanced to Day 2 on Sunday, January 29. The chip leader at the end of play is David Reed with a stack of 556,000.
Rounding out the top three chip stacks were Sundiata DeVore, and Renato Spahiu with 340,000 (who was seated directly to the right of Reed).Other notables that bagged up chips on the day were former MSPT champion Max Havlish (227,000), and Jonatan Dull (189,000), who has a close to $1 million in career tournament earnings.
Notables that busted out of play today, but still have a chance to re-enter tomorrow included Ben Keeline, Hill Kerby, Jason Blount, Brian Battistone, Ranae Rodriguez, Phil Gioia, and 2022 MSPT Player of the Year Josh Reichard, who busted on the final hand. Registration is open for re-entry until the start of Level 13 on Friday until 9:10 pm.
Flight B begins tomorrow at Noon, and the field will play down to 12% of the remaining players from the total entries.
