Official Flight B Chip Counts

The final 50 players from Flight B have bagged up, and they will join the 28 other survivors from A tomorrow for a long march down all the way to a champion in one day of play. Here is a look at the chip counts from today’s flight. Stay tuned for the Day 2 seat draw that will be released later tonight when we get the information from the Venetian Poker Room tournament staff.

Nikolaos Angelou Konstas Takes One Out to End Flight B with the Chip Lead

For the second night in a row the chip lead was cemented on the final hand of play as Nikolaos Angelou Konstas held on the big blind against the small blind’s pocket queens on a final board dealt . Angelou took out his opponent to stack up 834,000 after collecting the pot for the Flight B chip lead.

That brings Flight B to a close with 50 players advancing to Day 2 on Wednesday with cards getting into the air at 11:00 local time in Las Vegas. Stay tuned for official chip counts from the bag and tag along with the seat draw for Day 2 when it’s released by the Venetian Poker Room.

Hand-for-Hand Play Begins on the Bubble

The clock has been paused, and hand-for-hand play has begun on the money/end of day bubble in Flight B. Just one more bustout to go until every player advances in the money to Day 2 on Wednesday at 11:00 am local time here at the Venetian Poker Room in Las Vegas.

Mukul Pahuja Doubles

Mukul Pahuja was all in with pocket kings under the gun for 197,000, and that put him well ahead of the tabled by Safwane Bahri on the cutoff.

The final board read , and Pahuja doubled up to survive with a stack of 414,000. Bahri was at 385,000 after the hand.

Level 17 Begins

Blinds are up to 4,000-8,000 with a big blind ante of 8,000 for the start of Level 17 in Flight B of the $1,600 buy-in Mid-States Poker Tour Main Event hosted in the Venetian Poker Room along the Las Vegas Strip. There are now 54 players remaining from 446 entries today, and they will be playing down to the final 50 tonight.

Nikolaos Angelou Konstas Above 600,000

Nikolaos Angelou Konstas (pictured) appears to be the first player in Flight B to jump above the 600,000-mark with a stack worth 632,000. There are a handful of players in the chase group above a half-million including Vid Zagar (575,000) and Bienvinito Fernandez (555,000).

Level 16 Begins

Blinds are up to 3,000-6,000 with a big blind ante of 6,000 for the start of Level 16 in Flight B of the $1,600 buy-in Mid-States Poker Tour Main Event hosted in the Venetian Poker Room along the Las Vegas Strip. There are now 60 players remaining from 446 entries today, and they will be playing down to the final 50 tonight.

The players are taking another 15-minute break.

Bienvinito Fernandez Takes Out Another

The button reraised all in for 45,000 preflop with pocket jacks, and Bienvinito Fernandez called to cover him after a few moments of thought with from late position.

The final board read , and Fernandez took out another opponent to stack up 336,000 after collecting the pot and continue his recent nice run.

The button was all in holding , and Bienvinito Fernandez had him covered with pocket jacks in the hole UTG+1.
