Flight B came to a close with the final 28 players advancing to Day 2 on Wednesday, June 5. David Coleman ran away with the chip lead holding a stack of 805,000 after he took out the final player of the night on the end of day and money bubble. Rounding out the top three were Simon Britton (604,000) and Will Givens (490,000).

Level 17 came to a close with 11:06 left on the clock with blinds at 4,000-8,000 with a big blind ante of 8,000. That’s where blinds will roll back to depending on how things play out in Flight B that will begin at 11:10 am on Tuesday, June 4 here in the Venetian Poker Room. Registration will be open until the start of Level 10 around 6:00 pm tomorrow, giving players plenty of time to jump into this $1,600 buy-in event with a $750,000 guarantee.

David Coleman Gets the Final Busout of the Night to Bag the Chip Lead

UTG was all in preflop short with pocket jacks in the hole, but he ran right into the pocket kings of David Coleman on the button.

The final board of the day ran out , and Coleman took out his opponent to stack up the chip lead with 805,000.

Three Contenders for the Chip Lead

With play reaching hand-for-hand on the money and end of day bubble we have three players up top challenging for the lead. Simon Britton (pictured) leads with 560,000, and both William Givens (440,000) and David Coleman (425,000) are in the chase group with one more bustout to go before the end of Flight A.

The hijack got all in preflop short with in the hole, and Toby Boas had him covered holding pocket queens from the small blind.

Simon Britton was all in for 32,400 preflop from the big blind, and the button reraised all in over the top of him after originally making it 11,000 to get in the pot. The small blind got out of the way so the remaining two players revealed their cards.

Britton held against the pocket sevens of his opponent, and board ran out for Britton to grab the double up. He stacked up 77,800 after collecting the pot.
