MSPT Hall of Famer Josh Reichard Leads the Surviving Players After Day 1A
Created (9/20/2024 12:18:22 AM by Anthony Thompson)

Day 1a of the MSPT Season 15 $1,110 Main Event at Sycuan Casino & Resort has come to a close after seeing 47 entrants kick things off.

Almost full day of action was played to completion with none other than MSPT Hall of Famer Josh Reichard ending the night leading the five surviving players with 25:00 remaining in Level 14.

Reichard, once again, found his way over to the registration table to put in his max late-reg and went on a late-night clinic to bag the top stack of 485,000 after cracking pocket aces in the final hand.

Tan Trieu was also the beneficiary of a late-night heater as he will take 335,000 into Day 2 while Rip Fritzer (260,000), and Armando Mesina (230,000), and Leonid Vaisburg (101,000) all survived the first starting flight.

Among those to try and fall on Day 1a included MSPT champ Derrick Yamada, Anastasiia Knapp, Alan Jimenez, and Kyle Minolich just to name a few.

Those players, as well as any newcomers, have two more starting flights to jump back into action. Day 1b will kick off at 2:00 p.m. local time Friday, while the third and final flight, Day 1c, will take place at the same time on Saturday.

The surviving players from each flight will then return at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday to play down to a winner.

Join us tomorrow as we continue to bring you all the action and eliminations straight from the tournament floor at Sycuan Casino & Resort!
