Jay Chaudhary Leads 18 Survivors After Day 1A
Created (6/9/2025 12:35:00 AM by Anthony Thompson)

While MSPT Hall of Famer Josh Reichard was busy securing his second MSPT title in the Heart Poker Championship, the second $1,000,000 GTD event of the DeepStack Extravaganza got underway with runners taking their shot in the $1,100 Main Event.

Almost a full 17 levels were needed to reach 11% of the 156 player-field with Jay Chaudhary leading the 18 advancing players by a wide margin with a whopping 812,000.

Claudiu Burlacu

Claudiu Burlacu was able to sniff out a big bluff at the end of the night against MSPT champ Kyna England to take 500,000 into Day 2 while John Hardie (387,000), Stuart Young (381,000), and Noah Krever (304,000) rounded out the top five stacks.

Others finding a Day 2 berth after the first flight included Jevon Lam (283,000), Jack Nathan (229,000), and Francesco Morales (150,000) but of course, not everyone was fortunate enough to make it through the night.

MSPT Hall of Famer Rodger Johnson

Among those to fire and fall in Sunday’s starting flight included MSPT Hall of Famer Rodger Johnson, Keerat Bawa, Maria Lampropoulos, MSPT champ Lee Rzentkowski, Noah Curhan, and Martin Stausholm, who were just a few who took their shot at a bag on Day 1a only to come up short.

MSPT Champ Lee Rzentkowski

All who have yet to advance will have two more starting flights to try to do so with Day 1b getting started at 11:10 a.m. local time tomorrow, followed by Day 1c at the same time on Tuesday, June 10th.

Late registration and re-entries will remain open through Level 9 (approximately 5:55 p.m.).

Full coverage of this event will begin tomorrow on MSPTpoker.com so make sure to tune in!
