Another full day of action was played to its conclusion at the MSPT Season 16 Michigan Poker State Championship at FireKeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Michigan after a hard stop was reached at the end of Level 16.
The second of three flights drew a massive 1,134 entries, setting yet another venue record for a Day 1b field and has brought the two-day total thus far to 1,746, blowing past the $1,000,000 GTD with one flight remaining.
Of those 1,134 entries, only 125 players remained when chips went into bags with Cooper Wanty becoming the first player to clip the milly mark to take the overall top stack into Day 2 thus far with a whopping 1,225,000.
Gregory Blucher
Wanty’s massive stack was almost double that of Gregory Blucher (703,000) & Brian Opyrchal (700,000), who were the only other two to get over 700k while Andrew Borman (697,000), and Jason Kilby (655,000), rounded out the top five stacks of the night.

Clint Wolcyn (519,000), Tanner Pray (514,000), WSOP bracelet winner Brek Schutten (471,000), and MSPT Hall of Famer Chris Moon (325,000) are just a few more of the players to add their names to the Day 2 roster along with the 68 to have already advanced from Day 1a.
