Another full day of action was played to its conclusion at the inaugural MSPT Spade Poker Championship at FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan, after a hard stop was reached at the start of Level 16.
The second of three flights drew a massive 1,014 entries, bringing the two-day total thus far to 1,591 and blasting past the $1,500,000 GTD with one flight remaining.
Of those 1,014 entries, only 112 players remained when chips went into bags as Osmin ‘Oddie’ Dardon topped the milly mark to lead the bunch with 1,060,000.
Matthew Ploof
Dardon is the only player to clip the milly mark after two flights, while Nick Ahmadi (795,000), Lucas Rea (767,000), Matthew Ploof (661,000), and Spencer Wright (662,000) rounded out the top five stacks of the night.

Several other familiar players will also be joining the aforementioned five. MSPT Hall of Famer Gerald Cunniff (587,000), Michael Puccio (485,000), MSPT Hall of Famer Rodger Johnson (468,000), MSPT champ Richard Bai (302,000), two-time MSPT champ Chris Meyers (235,000), back-to-back Player of the Year Umut Ozturk (130,000), and fellow Hall of Famer Rob WazWaz (130,000) are just a few more of the players to add their names to the Day 2 roster, along with the 64 to have already advanced from Day 1a.
Two-Time MSPT Champ Greg Himmelbrand
Much like Day 1a, the final level of the night saw an onslaught of casualties, with players such as MSPT champ’s Greg Himmelbrand, James Anderson, and Corey Wick among those to be eliminated before play concluded for the night with chips flying all across the remaining tables in the final level of play that led to a lot of players riding roller coasters with their stack sizes before becoming official for the evening.

The final starting flight will get underway tomorrow at Noon local time, and it will be the last chance for players to punch their ticket into Sunday's Day 2.
Late registration and re-entries will remain open through Level 12 (approximately 9:30 p.m.)
